2015-16 Goals

     There are three goals I would like to accomplish in the next few years. First,  I would like to improve my test taking skills.  I have good grades in my classes, but when it is time for tests, I do not do so well and it pulls my overall grade down.  I spend time looking over my notes, but I don't do anything additional to study.  I think I will try to use quizlet or notecards to study.  When teachers have required us to do make an interactive tool to study from, I have done better.  Secondly, I would like to work on my free throw.  As a post player, I get fouled a lot and consequently, shoot a lot of free throws.  As I get fatigued during the game, I worry that my free throw percentage will go down.  Next year, as a freshman, I hope to make the JV team.  If I able to improve my consistency, it will increase my playing time.  I want to be a reliable player, one that my teammates trust when the ball is in my hands.  Finally, as I look into the future, I think I would like to pursue a career as a meteorologist.  Weather has always fascinated me.  I told my parents that I would like to be a tornado chaser, but that did not go over well.  I know I am sensitive to other's feelings and worry that the aftermath of such catastrophic events would really bother me; a meteorologist may be a more stable career choice.  It seems like a good way to blend my talents of math and science and my interest in weather.  With hard work and focus, I hope to meet my goals in the upcoming years.
